Gandhi - Where are you ?

( A misguided politicians agony )

Today Leadership has turned into Politics.
My life which started with Gandhism is now full of  'Brandy'ism.

One day I realised
That I have changed,
That I have become a slave to selfishness and
That I was living a worthless life.

In all these years, sometime, somewhere, my legs have gone in unexpected direction.
All my efforts to get back were in vain. I pleaded with my mind and my mind bluntly refused.
I lost interest in truth and developed interest in power & positions.

In the ideal SATYAGRAHA followed by Gandhi, what remains today is only AGRAHA - "The Anger".
Suddenly, one fine day I asked myself, " Gandhi - Where are you? " There was no answer.

Yesterday I had a dream. Bapu appeared and smiled.
I asked yet again - " Bapu, Where are you?"
He replied with a smile :
" I followed AHIMSA & SATYAGRAHA as my ideals to fight for the truth. People who wanted to follow me got sidetracked with Baseless HIMSA (Violence) & Truthless AGRAHA (Anger).

End HIMSA and add Truth (SATYA) to your AGRAHA (Anger).
Then I am very much there. Just beside you. And Bapu disappeared.

గాంధీ నువ్వెక్కడ ఉన్నావు

నేడు స్వరాజ్యకీయం కేవలం రాజకీయంగా మిగిలింది.
గాంధీ తత్వంతో నాంది పలికిన నా జీవితం
నేడు బ్రాందీ తత్వంలో బందీ అయ్యింది.

ఒకనాడు నాకనిపించింది, నేను మారిపోయానని.
స్వార్థానికి బానిసయ్యానని , అర్థంలేని జీవితం బ్రతుకుతున్నానని.
ఇన్నేళ్ళ నా రాజకీయ గమనంలో ఎక్కడో అనుకోకుండా
ఊహింకాని దిశలో తప్పటడుగులు మొదలయ్యాయని.
దిశా మారుద్దామని దశ విధాలుగా ప్రయత్నించా
శతవిధాలుగా నా మనసుతో మొరబెట్టుకున్నా
ససేమిరా నా మనసు విననంది.
పదవులపై మక్కువ పెరిగింది, పెదవులపై సత్యం పలకనన్నది.
బాపు నేర్పిన సత్యాగ్రహం అనే పదంలో, నేడు కేవలం ఆగ్రహం మాత్రం మిగిలింది.
ఒకరోజు అనుకోకుండా నాకో ఆలోచన కలిగింది.
అప్పుడడిగాను - గాంధీ, నువ్వేక్కాడున్నావని!
సమాధానం రాలేదు.

నిన్న రాత్రి కల వచ్చింది.
బాపు కనిపించాడు. చిరునవ్వు నవ్వాడు.
అప్పుడు మళ్ళీ అడిగాను - బాపు, నువ్వెక్కడ ఉన్నావని ?
చిరుమందహాసంతో ఇలా అన్నారు:
నేను అహింసా, సత్యాగ్రహం అనే రెండు ఆదర్శాలను పాటించాను.
నాతొ రావాలనుకున్న మీరు హింస, ఆగ్రహాలతో తప్పుదారి పట్టారు.
హింసను అంతం చేయండి,
ఆగ్రహానికి సత్యాన్ని జోడించండి.
నేను అక్కడే ఉన్నాను. మీ పక్కనే ఉన్నాను - అంటూ మాయమయ్యారు.
